Our club was established in 1997 as the Macquarie Magpies fielding a team in the senior and junior competition. At the conclusion of the 2002 season it was decided to change the club colours in favour of the Adelaide Crows strip. This step was taken to unify our junior and senior sides. In 2012 we became a partner club of the Fremantle Dockers changing our name and stripes to match and we became the Lake Macquarie Dockers.
The Lake Macquaire Dockers AFC is situated between the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. We are on of the youngest Club in the Black Diamond Football League, arguably one of the strongest country leagues in NSW.
Our vision is to grow to be a dominate force in the BDAFL and Greater Sydney Junior leagues by embracing our philosophy of engaging children, adults & parents for fun and fitness. Our core focus will always be the promotion of Australian Rules Football and to ensure the game is played in its traditional spirit. The Lake Macquaire Crows football club provides a fun and safe environment for children and parents of all ages to get involved
We have one large and one small oval adjacent to one another. The larger field is complete with four impressive light towers that allow training and games at night. Also now on the larger field there are stripes with the Dockers colours at the top of each post. Not only does this look great but gives our teams a heightened feeling of satisfaction when they kick through them (the middle ones hopefully).
